The 960-X Strike Jamb Router routes and corner squares lock strike-plates in door jambs. A touch screen menu selects multiple patterns including full lip, T-strike, and ASA strikes. The machining zone along the jamb is 13½” allowing typical double strike processing without repositioning the jamb.
This is a full CNC machine featuring Beckhoff AC servo motors, controllers, and an industrial computer driving precision ball screws for all router and chisel axes. The machine head includes two 2 HP Perske spindle motors with double bearings. The counter-rotating spindles are combined with tool path programming to eliminate chipping at the jamb edge. Four chisels, mounted in pairs, are provided to cleanly remove radii in all four plate corners, but not in the deep recess. Chisel depth is restricted to ¼” or less.
